If an artist draws something for you (without being asked or paid) I don’t care if you like it or not you’d better thank them so hard you almost punch your own teeth out with your tongue because that means someone thought “this thing that I can get paid to do I did for free for you because I love you and think you’re worth dedicating my personal time and talent to” and if you don’t think that’s the tightest shit you’ve ever heard than get the fuck out of my face.

edit: i thought i could unify these two more by bringing some of miss piggy’s pink into kermit’s mouth

My mother’s friend and her family are down here visiting over Labor Day weekend. It turns out that my mother’s friend’s daughter likes to draw. More specifically, she likes to color. Apparently she can’t really draw an outline, but she’s very good at coloring inside the lines.
My mom had to tell me that information, since I had no idea. Of course I wanna draw with this adorable little girl.
So I got out my Muppet Character Encyclopedia and let her look through it. Eventually, we settled on a picture of Fozzie Bear. I did a SUPER quick sketch of that picture in front of her and then handed it off to her for coloring. Once we were done, I asked if I could share this with some of my friends before we hung it up or something. She said it was fine.
I think we did pretty good!
This is Foo-Chan, the Japanese equivalent of Grumpy Cat. But instead of being grumpy, he just looks like he’s disappointed all of the time.

How to, step-by-step, make expressions mean different things by changing just one facial feature at a time. *shrug* I’m not very good at explaining how I do expressions, I just…feel out what kinds of muscles seem to fit and tweak those. And sometimes, ever so slightly, little adjustments could mean the difference between fury and euphoria.
